Negative space is, as you can imagine, difficult to define. And no, we are not talking about some concept of science fiction, but about taking advantage of all resources, including what are not present.

When designing, various techniques are used to create graphic materials that mesmerize viewers. The use of negative space generates an additional advantage of attraction and sophistication.

"''You

However, there are many logos, posters and ads created with this technique, because it allows you to send a message to the audience in such a subtle way, that detecting it always causes a smile.

In such a way that its incorrect application, causes the viewer to realize immediately and generate displeasure. Therefore, in this blog post, we will talk about what negative space is and how it affects the appearance of things, whether in graphic design or even in art.

The limit of form

Defining negative space is complicated, because it is not a void around objects. Rather, it could be said that a space to "breathe" around a central subject, but that affects its appearance.

It is a synergy between the open or empty space around and the object, in such a way that it generates its own definition. And that's what… How can you know the true shape of an object if you can't discover its limits?

In Design, negative space is used to create an illusion of some figure, without creating the figure directly. It emerges with the help of other surrounding objects in the design. This subtlety is part of its beauty, as the viewer is delighted to discover something hidden within the design.

In-making a difference

Once you understand its general concept, it is possible to start playing with it to take advantage of its advantages. Properly used negative space can make all the difference in a design.

Viewers will always appreciate a design with good use of white space, over saturated designs. Therefore, balancing it in a design, facilitates the view of it. In this way, although they seem simple, building such a design is an effort of talent, intelligence and sometimes good humor.

This way, once viewers understand the messages or images subtly hidden in the design, they feel included. That is why the use of negative space is especially effective when designing logos.

Negative space and text

Negative space is not only used in composition, it is even a vital element when writing. This space is called line spacing.

Without line spacing, it would be almost impossible to read a text, because even the order of the paragraphs would be altered. And although it sounds a bit obvious, just look at brochures, brochures and even magazines , the number of times that the lack (or sometimes excess) of space affects its reading.

But it is also part of its design, because the relationship between text and space, generates a kind of "texture" that we can take advantage of aesthetically. This is easily verifiable on a website, as good readability is vital to retain the visitor's attention and to help them find the information they are looking for.

"Less is more… luxurious"

In any luxury store it is easy to observe, that in many cases, the most luxurious products, tend to be minimalist (for example Apple products). This idea can be applied to other media, to achieve the same effect.

On a website, for example, increasing the negative space between the elements, you can generate the feeling of class and importance, even if the content is very generic. Otherwise, saturating the space with ads, prices and descriptions, causes the feeling of being a messy page begging for attention, rather than a quality site.

Negative space or white space?

Negative space is an important element of Design. Without it, compositions would probably be a disaster, lacking definition and focus.

Its correct use is a balancing act intended to unify a design and attract the eyes of a viewer to the details and subtleties.

Dare to do things differently! Play with the negative space in your sketches and ideas and notice how it catches the attention of your viewers.

Surprise your audience with the use of negative space on your website and logo to make them look more complete and interesting. We help you achieve this with our Branding and Web Design services. Ideal for companies and startups that want to make a difference. Us!

Do you know more logos of brands that use negative space?, Remember Absolut's campaigns using this technique?

Nowadays, when we hear about how good the goods or services of a brand are, the first thing we do is google it. In this way, we can know its catalog, services and above all, the comments left by users on blogs or social networks.

And it is that the Internet has become a tool used by everyone, which allows us to access multiple resources and learn about other people and companies with ease. Hence the importance of having a presence in this medium.

"A

That is why, used intelligently, the Internet can be an ideal medium to connect with our followers and potential customers, for its ability to be online everywhere, at all times.

Many businesses are growing exponentially thanks to their websites and social media. Therefore, in this blog post, we will talk about the advantages and benefits of having a website, as a tool to maximize your company.

Missing opportunities

Some studies show that among the causes of the failure of a business are, the lack of a market and sufficient publicity. Since some brands think that customers will come alone and do not plan any kind of marketing strategy.

That is why it is recommended that companies have professional and well-designed websites , which allow users to easily find the information they are looking for, as well as how to acquire their products and services.

Nowadays, not having one can mean losing business opportunities. Below, we discuss some of its main advantages.

24/7 x 365 days

Normally, companies and businesses work between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. What about all the people who can't visit your business before closing?

On the websites, information about the brand, products and services is available to any potential customer, at any time and can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

For all budgets

Websites are like spectacular ones that work 24/7. But they also cost a fraction of what spending on television ads or other advertising media is.

They also have the possibility of being updated at low cost, so that the page is never obsolete and continues to provide functionality and quality content (we recommend you read our entry on Inbound Marketing).

"! But my business is bootstrapping!", you may be thinking… Well, even in that case, you could subtract without problems the costs generated by having a commercial premises, thanks to the alternative of having an e-commerce website. Great, isn't it?

As in any relationship, communication is important

Websites not only promote companies, but also allow you to receive information from your visitors, through contact forms, comments on blogs or Google Analytics statistics.

In this way, visitors can directly express their interests, doubts or comments. Thus becoming the site in a powerful communication tool between brands and their customers.

Image first and foremost

What better way to stand out, than with a website? Today, traditional media such as business cards, brochures or POP material are not enough.

On the other hand, websites help generate and reinforce a modern image of companies in front of their customers.

Real efforts, real results

Best of all, when you have a professionally developed website (that is, that follows some principles such as the material design we have already talked about here), it generates a good impression on visitors.

In this way, obtaining customers and followers is real, because it provides the confidence to acquire products or hire services.

The era of business 2.0

We can say then that, by having a Web page, they take advantage of the Internet to increase sales, expand the market and obtain growth.

In addition, customers can have more information about brands, their products and services before making contact. With which, companies should only deal with clearing doubts and making sales, thus optimizing the service with the public.

And even so, many companies do not have websites, because they do not know the benefits they can provide to their brand.

Do you know how many customers you lose daily because you don't have your own site? Whether it's an online store, landing page or blog, nowadays, it's easier than ever to have your own page . With our Web Design service, forget about missing opportunities and start connecting with everyone. Us!

Do you often shop online? Do brands that have their own page seem more trustworthy?

Don't forget to leave your comments.

When speaking, writing, communicating with words, we usually leave a space for the imagination of the interlocutor. We assume that what we say is understood, even if it is not always true.

""I

What differences can there be when saying "my eyes were closed"? Since closed eyes can be sad, surprise, sleep or even death. However, this does not happen when using images, since with them we can clarify ideas, with a simple gesture or expression.

Therefore, its importance in marketing is fundamental, since there can be no spaces for the misinterpretation of ideas or for the lack of information that words or texts can generate.

Whether through a commercial, an album cover, movies, series or books, illustrations are a powerful marketing and positioning tool for any business or product. Therefore, in this blog post, we share some benefits of using illustrations as a means of communication.

The illustrations: communication and learning

Within the culture of the image, illustrations deserve special attention. They have been considered as an artistic technique, related to the philosophical current that emerged in the eighteenth century.

We could define illustration as a particularly persuasive narrative image. A language that we can all understand and interpret and that has the power to bring us closer to people, to speak without having to describe and to detail everything we want to express.

The reception of the illustrated message requires a learning process. That is why it is so effective in educating both children and adults. In marketing, illustrations give a certain character to brands, which helps consumers remember them.

Time-tested

The illustrations allow us to communicate and reach the interest of the public more easily. Therefore, it is part of advertising design. Thus, over the years, without realizing it, we have become fond of various characters, campaigns and drawings that represent a brand itself.

Characters like The Michelin Man, Ronald McDonald, Gorillaz, Mario Bros, etc. are basically time-tested, because they do not go out of style and never expire. They evolve without losing their essence and people love them. Here are some of the benefits of using illustrations as a form of communication:

01_Los old days

As children we grew up surrounded by picture books and cartoons. Using these characters (or some new ones) makes us feel nostalgic and "like kids" again. Hence the success of products such as Pokémon Go or superhero movies.

02_Imagina worlds

Unlike photography (which is linked to the real world), illustrations allow the possibility of giving life to the most incredible fantastic worlds. Playing (for pure pleasure) Super Mario Bros, would be much less fun if things didn't happen in the "Mushroom Kingdom".

[vc_empty_ space height="24px"]
03_Viaja in Time

As their ability to raise fantastic worlds, illustrations have the possibility of showing us remote periods of time. In this way, we can know what ancient civilizations or even dinosaurs were like.

04_Con a lot of personality

Since the beginning of the s. XX, the effectiveness of using characters in advertising was demonstrated, to remember brands. Characters like Tigre Toño or Bibendum, are part of our culture and are loved for generations.

05_Rompe the mold

[/vc_column_text]

Stock images are very practical, but they are all used and they feel stereotyped. Fake greetings, fake likes and mounted smiles. However, illustrations can be unique and communicate some message or represent a brand.

06_Resistiendo the passage of time

Remember the appearance of The Little Prince or the drawings of Alice in Wonderland? Because if so, you remember images created in 1943 and 1865 respectively. Which demonstrates the ability of illustration to stand the test of time.

07_Tu parles français?

Imagine that you arrive at Paris airport and do not find the exit. Obviously most people speak French and maybe you don't, what to do? As simple as locating the signage of a "monkey" heading towards a door or the indication arrows. Illustrated symbols can be a form of international communication.

08_Tan easy as the A,B,C

During the Middle Ages, most people could not read or write, however the Catholic religion managed to establish itself. How?, then through religious images inside the cathedrals. Illustrations have such educational power.

Universal language

An image can convey an accumulation of emotions in a small space, which allows generating a better connection with users, than a large block of text achieves. Many times we say that "a picture is worth a thousand words" and it is true.

Today, digital platforms are becoming more and more visual. Therefore, if we accompany our content with an illustration, it will encourage our followers to share it with theirs. Don't spend your time searching the internet for photos that look like your ideas. We help you bring your new product, character or publication to life. Our Illustration service has no limits and neither do your ideas. Us!

In short, we must be aware of the importance of illustrations as communication tools. Not only because they provide quality and added value, but because they speed up the process of understanding between users. Therefore, it is advisable to use them in any marketing strategy.

Do you know any success stories where illustrations play an important role? Do you find photographs more effective?

Don't forget to leave your comments.

Until you finally find some to your liking. You would immediately discard the rest! True?. It is exactly the same thing that happens with the immense amount of Apps that are on the market. What makes users choose one option over another?

Of course the design of your Logo!. Of course, the functionality and features of the App are fundamental, but in a market as saturated as mobile applications, the first impression is the one that counts.

Having the design of a nice, memorable and unique icon can play an important role in the success or failure of an app. Therefore, in this blog post, we want to share some tips to design excellent logos for Apps.

The anchor of your product

First of all, it is important to define what logos for Apps are and what their function is. The logo of an App is the visual anchor of a product. It is the small piece of branding that, in addition to being attractive and unique, communicates the essence of the application.

However, unlike the logo of a company, the design criteria of logos for Apps is a little different, as they are usually restricted to square spaces, with specific sizes and contexts, according to the operating system.

The fundamentals

Regardless of the software or tools used for your design (we suggest Adobe Illustrator), there are certain guidelines to follow when designing Logos for Apps:

01_Escalabilidad

One of the most important aspects to consider, when designing Logos for Apps, is scalability.

Because the logo will be displayed in different places and in different sizes. Therefore, it is important to maintain readability at all times, whether in the App Store, the App interface or on devices with a Retina display.

02_Reconocimiento

Being easily recognizable among the rest of the Apps in the store or on the home screen of a smartphone, is the key to a great logo.

The design must be able to connect with the public on a functional and emotional level, (through color, its forms and concept) and must stand out from hundreds of other logos.

03_Consistencia

Perhaps more important than the graphic element itself, or the colors that make it up, a good logo design must present consistency between the icon and the experience that the App represents.

A good Logo should be an extension of your App to generate a memorable storytelling with the public. Achieving harmony between the logo, the essence, design and functionality of the App is the key.

04_Singularidad

It may be obvious, but it is essential to design a logo that is unique. Being based on references or adopting a design trend is fine, but always bringing creativity to differentiate it.

It may seem difficult to do anything unique in topics like "productivity," where concepts may revolve around the use of a "checkmark." Therefore, it is important to investigate what exists in the market, to go in the other direction.

05_Gráficos vs Words

Surely there will be a lot to say about it, but in our opinion, if when designing Logos for Apps you resort to words, it is because you are not using all your pictorial arsenal.

Words and graphics should complement each other, but mixing them when designing a logo for an App usually generates confusion and is difficult to decode in small spaces (as we have already mentioned at the scalability point).

It is necessary to consider in itself, that the name will appear within the interface of the App, why not look for a graphic concept to represent it? And if it is very necessary to use letters, it is better to treat them as graphics and make them unique, in this way they lose their quality of "letter" and become iconic.

Make your mark!

As we have noticed, Logos for Apps are a small, but powerful communication tool. The Logo will be the strongest connection the user will have; It will be the first thing you see in the App Store; What you will interact with every time you use your App; and what you will remember when thinking about it, when recommending it.

The Logo of your App should not be something that is solved in the end, but should be a fundamental part in the process of its development. At Galahad Studio, we understand how complicated it can be for a brand to make its products, services and Apps stand out from its competition. Therefore, we offer the best solutions in Branding and Brand Design. Ideal for companies and startups that want to make a difference. Us!

Whether simple or detailed, conservative or creative, designing Logos for Apps is always a challenge. We hope that these tips will be useful to you to develop your own logos. Mastering and applying them will allow them to develop better designs. Have you designed Logos for Apps?, Do you know other tips for your design?

If today we asked users, what do they think of the brands they follow?, surely more than 80% of people, would not mind that their brand of detergents disappeared. And it is for no other reason, that the great change we are experiencing in the ecosystem of brands and consumers.

""What

Today, people seek to live experiences, through the products and services they consume. Brands such as Apple, Nike or Starbucks, understand this and therefore their campaigns are aimed at making their customers feel "special" (for example, a button). However, the reality is that in recent years, the perception of brands in front of users has plummeted. And it doesn't seem to stop.

The tradition in marketing indicates that brands must pursue to connect with users, however, they always escape them. But what if this were the other way around? What if it was the users who searched for the brands?

That is why, in this blog post, we will talk about Inbound Marketing, a trend that has been in practice for some years and that tries to tip the balance for both brands and consumers.

Stop searching! Allow them to find you

Inbound Marketing basically consists of making the user the one who finds the brand, instead of it going to look for him.

This concept is totally opposite to traditional marketing (Outbound Marketing), which is intrusive and interrupts at all times, to get your products or services to users. Go! It's what we see every day in TV commercials or spectaculars.

Valuable content

Inbound Marketing is fundamentally composed of content that is disseminated through different channels (for example: social networks, blog or email marketing) with the aim of getting loyal customers at the lowest price, instead of pressuring them to agree to buy our product / service directly.

However, it is a slow process, oriented to the medium and long term, but that allows us to know better our users and their needs. And once we understand them, the brand-user relationship improves and the results become evident.

More than content, a philosophy

Taking into account that people no longer behave the same now as ten years ago, Inbound Marketing emerges as a user-oriented sales philosophy, which allows us to know at all times what tactics to use, in what way and when.

The key is to understand that our user goes through different states since he meets us for the first time. So depending on the moment you are, you will need a different type, format and density of content. In this way, we let you know that the value of our content is increasing and therefore, that we continue to provide valuable content. With this, more leads are generated, conversions to customers and even our users become promoters of our brand. Amazing! Don't you think?

Currently, sharing quality content is one of the fundamental aspects of a solid sales strategy. It's the opportunity to share information, interact with your users, and make your brand more human.

Inbound Marketing, then, is about understanding and helping the user. It's people-centered marketing. At Galahad Studio, we understand how complicated it can be for a brand to stand out from its competition. For them, we offer the best solutions in Branding and Brand Design. Ideal for companies and startups that want to make a difference. Us!

Of course, there is still much more to say about Inbound Marketing, but we will address it in future posts, stay tuned! Do you know brands that share quality content? Do they seem more reliable?

At the end of my career, I chose Illustration as a specialization, because I faithfully believe that it is the only area of Design that has no limits like imagination. However, the best results are obtained with hours of work, either applying effects or composing.

But the reality is that Design is an industry in which (unfortunately), it is normal to need things for "yesterday", so saving time is an essential advantage.

""The

Luckily, there are many resources available that are very useful to optimize daily work, such as mockups, actions, patterns and plugins.

That is why, in this entry of the Blog, I would like to share some Adobe Illustrator Plugins, which are installed or executed as an addition to the features that the software has by default. These will allow you to optimize your work, save time and generate incredible images.

MirrorMe

How many times have you needed to generate a symmetric vector, either for an icon or logo and had to first draw one side and then duplicate it?

MirrorMe is a plugin that allows you to generate and observe live the symmetry of the vectors you make. You can create a reflection of an existing stroke or use multiple building axes for more complex shapes.

Ai Canvas

Being web design a great area of opportunity for graphic designers, Ai Canvas, is a great ally for its development, because it allows you to export vectors and images from Illustrator directly to an HTML5 canvas using JavaScript.

This plugin was created by Mike Swanson, former Microsoft worker and now owner Juicy Bits, so its operation is more than guaranteed.

I ♥ ∆

I agree! This is not really a plugin, since it is not installed, but it is tremendously useful to generate compositions and illustrations with Low Poly effect.

Generally this type of effects require a lot of work time, however with I ♥ ∆ we can create "triangularized" or "gemoetrizadas" surfaces in a few minutes.

VectorScribe

When we are working in Illustrator, it is often difficult to remove anchor points, change, cut, paste , join or separate sections.

But with VectorScribe you can overcome all those technical nooks and crannies, because it has endless utilities that at this point, Illustrator should have already included in its software.

Isometric Transformations

Isometric Transformations, allows you to generate orthogonal illustrations with just a few clicks. Definitely my favorite within this selection of Plugins.

This package of actions includes shortcuts to create the "up, right and left" views in an isometric perspective. Ideal for generating characters with 3D appearance or incredible infographics.

Illustrations are a current trend in content marketing. Brands such as Google, Red Bull or American Express are committed to illustration as their main communication channel, thanks to the emotional reaction it generates in their customers. And people respond incredibly!

At Galahad Studio we are professionals in the creation of characters, scenarios and art for animations or publications. Stop spending your time searching the internet or image banks, photos that look like your ideas; Our Illustration service has no limits and neither do your ideas. Us!

Do you know other useful plugins ?, What other resources do you use in your projects?

"Visual identity is like a company's suit and tie," repeated one professor during my student years. And although it sounds funny, the truth is that the visual identity of any brand is the heart of its communication strategies.

This "graphic identity" materializes the image that a company wants to show its public, through different supports such as envelopes, business cards, letterheads, etc.

""Even

However, starting a company is a difficult process and give it an adequate image even more!, because in many cases, the purchase decision of people is governed by the perception they have of the brand in question. A good example of this is usually political campaigns.

And it is an issue that influences all types of companies, from independent professionals, through small and medium enterprises, to the largest corporations. Therefore, in this blog post, we are going to talk about the value of visual identity and its benefits for the success of any business.

Everything Communicates

Did you know that 80% of the information we perceive daily enters the human brain through the eyes? That is why when it comes to communicating, images, shapes, colors and typographies are so important. But then, how does a company or brand communicate visually?

Well, through its Visual Identity!, which is the set of graphic signs (colors, shapes, words, etc.) that represent the company. This ranges from the logo, cards, billboards, emblems, merchandising, design of the points of sale, to the clothing of the workers. Everything communicates and everything helps to create a coherent visual identity of the company.

A story to tell

Today, there is no company that can position itself in the market and be recognized without having a visual identity. An image is understood and absorbed into people's minds more quickly. Just think about the brands of clothing you wear to dress every day. Why do you choose them?

Each brand has a story to tell (what is also known as storytelling) and the visual identity makes it possible, because it occupies above all an advertising function: it represents the image of a company, its services and eventually its values.Hence the importance of having a strongly defined and unique visual identity, which helps you to make your brand recognized and differentiate itself from your competitors.

The DNA of the corporation

Creating a corporate visual identity is a complicated process, because it must ensure that all the visual manifestations with which a corporation presents itself to the market and society (its products, services and communications), respond coherently to the global strategy of the company.

Only in this way, can it be ensured that design is not a simple artistic expression, but has a meaning and a mission. Therefore, it is important to locate the DNA of the corporation, which is what defines who it is, what it does and where it is, and then develop a communication and image strategy to project that identity and position it in the minds of consumers.

The visual identity then, is defined in 5 levels:

  • Cultural: It is essential to define the culture that surrounds the organization, that is, the values, experiences, beliefs, emotions with which the consumer can identify to generate a response or a change in behavior towards the brand / company.
  • Verbal: The second thing is to define the name of the company and its products to verbally identify the brand.
  • Visual: Next, it is important to define the symbol that visually identifies the company, such as the logo.
  • Objective: It refers to the unity of style and design for all products that are recognizable to the touch. Like the shape of a can of Coca-Cola or the peculiarity of a Smart car.
  • Environmental: The environmental factor communicates the identity of the company through elements such as the design of spaces, colors, lighting, smell, ambient music, customer service, service, or the location of the establishment within the city.
Benefits of good design

Whether you already have a Visual Identity or are looking to create one, these are some of the benefits of developing a solid one:

  • Awareness: The more developed your identity is, the more recognizable it will be, so your consumers will notice the presence of your brand.
  • Positioning: All the symbols, values, culture and projects linked to your brand will add value to progress in the market.
  • Reputation: A solid identity will generate a sense of belonging and trustworthiness in people, with which your brand will gain reputation and recognition.
  • Permanence: An effective design will allow you to respond quickly and effectively to unexpected changes in the market.
  • Savings: A well-designed identity will save you money as you avoid reinventing the graphic pieces over and over again.

It is proven that the main purchase decision of consumers is based on the image they perceive of brands. So having a solid image, generates loyal customers and palisades with your company.

At Galahad Studio we are professionals in visual identity design. What better way to say "I am professional, innovative and the best experience" than with a solid image?; With our Branding and Brand Design service we help you make a difference. Us!

What brands are they followers of?, Do they think their identity is consistent with the values they seek to convey?

Hi how about guys!

One of the trends I've seen increase most frequently in recent years is the use of animations to explain ideas, promotions, products or services.

However, they have become tools available to everyone, as some applications such as Instagram or Whatsapp, allow you to share short animations (stories or statuses), with possibilities to include graphics and animated texts.

"If

We can say then, that communication needs have overcome the barrier of the profession, in order to provide people with better ways to communicate. And, without a doubt, video is the best multiplatform resource to communicate a message, tell a story and inspire an audience.

That is why, in this blog post, we will talk about Motion Graphics, what they are and what they are for, as well as some features that will totally convince you that using them for your personal or business projects is a great decision.

Design, Animation or Motion Graphics?

Honestly, the difference between these 3 areas is increasingly subtle, because Motion Graphics are graphic elements that are brought to life through animation. These elements can be rotated, scaled or moved, until you get a video sequence or multimedia product.

In short, Motion Graphics are defined as multimedia graphics in motion and are distinguished from other types of animation by the way in which they are produced, the low cost of their realization, among others.

How to recognize the Motion Graphics of other types of animation?

It's actually hard to do so, as it shares elements with other types of video production. But we can locate its following characteristics:

  • They are usually in 2 dimensions, although thanks to the movement, the illusion of 3D can be created
  • Traditionally, animations are made in rectangular landscape formats, however, their widespread use in various media (web, social networks, mobile devices, etc.) have allowed square or vertical formats.
  • Not all elements in motion graphics have to "move", just create that illusion. For example, a title can enlarge, disappear, or change color, without needing to be in motion.
  • They usually use fades, zooms, entry and exit curtains and any transition element that facilitates the transmission of a message.
  • Being a multimedia element, it brings together in the same production elements of different nature: vector graphics, bitmaps, video, audio, etc., whatever is necessary to make an impressive product.
What kind of Motion Graphics is there?
  • Kinetic/Motion Graphics: Combination of text and graphic design that play with each other usually accompanied by music. The key is a seductive design and a good combination of the elements. They are currently widely used in marketing campaigns
  • Kinetic Typography: They are basically composed of moving text and although it sounds somewhat simple, it can be a very attractive technique. It is usually accompanied by a narrator, in this way the message is communicated very effectively since the audio reinforces it. Here you can see a good example.
  • Cut Out: It consists of drawing a character and cutting his limbs into parts and then joining them and generating his joints. In this way there are puppets that must be animated frame by frame (as in stopmotion). However, with this same principle it can be done digitally.
  • Motion Graphics + Live Action:  By merging the Motion Graphics with the real image, it is possible to create a striking effect. It is widely used in institutional productions, such as election campaigns or company presentations.
Main Advantages of Motion Graphics
  • They reinforce Storytelling: Thanks to its versatility, telling stories and reaching the public, it is much simpler and more dynamic.
  • They are economical: Both in time and money, Motion Graphics are significantly cheaper, compared to other types of productions.
  • They have a wide variety of styles: Like any visual expression, creativity is the only limit. Whether using photos, stopmotion, texts or 3D models, we can find Motion Graphics in unimaginable styles.
  • They are multiplatform:  The range of devices that play video is huge. From cell phones and movie screens, to GPS devices and Apps. Its scope is incredible.
  • They generate a better impression:  People are spending more and more time on the internet and videos have been shown to attract more attention and produce greater impact to the public.

Currently, conventional advertising is no longer as effective in attracting new customers, therefore, many people and companies are choosing this type of communication for the advantages it entails.

In Galahad Studio we are professionals in the development of these materials, stop spending on flyers or expensive ads to reach hundreds; With our Animation and Motion Graphics service we help you to be seen by thousands.

Do you share animate states in your networks? Do you know other types of Motion Graphics?

Don't forget to leave your comments.

Hi how about guys!

Marketing is a science that develops day by day, since the need of the market to publicize new services and products is a constant.

"Fun

Whether you're interested in online video advertising, Google ads sense, or social media ads, knowing how marketing works will help you make better decisions for your campaigns.

Therefore, in this second part (the first part can be consulted here), we will talk about the remaining 11 laws, the 22 immutable laws of Marketing proposed by Al Ries and Jack Trout in the book of the same name, with which, many of the big brands have achieved their commercial success.

Line Extension 12_Ley
There is irresistible pressure to extend brand equity

Have you noticed that certain leading companies in a certain field fail to introduce new products? This is because once consumers identify a brand as a leader in a certain area, it is very difficult to enter the consumer's mind with a new one, as concentration is lost. Therefore, it is preferable to have a satisfied market niche, rather than several uncompetitive. As they say, "he who covers much, little tightens".

13_Ley of sacrifice
To get great benefits, you have to give up great things

To obtain better results, we must be willing to give up three main things: an extensive product line, because not having more things to sell, means that we will sell more; apart from the target market, to concentrate on micro-niches; and constant change, because we avoid confusing the consumer once positioned.

14_Ley of attributes
For every attribute, there is another equally effective opponent.

When a brand has already appropriated the most important attribute in a certain market (let's say, they are the fastest), it is necessary to look for another attribute, perhaps of lesser importance and opposite, but that identifies us (for example having the best customer service). In this way, we can own that second attribute and make it take on greater importance and thus climb the step of the competition.

15_Ley of sincerity
When you admit something negative, the prospect will recognize something positive.

In marketing, as in real life, negative statements are more easily accepted, as opposed to truths that cause distrust. The objective in this law is to recognize some negative aspect in our product, not with the desire to apologize to the consumer, but to turn that negative aspect into a positive one.

16_Ley of singularity
In each situation, only one play will produce substantial results.

In Marketing, the strategy to follow is not to add small efforts through many media or publications. What really works is to generate a single solid strategy in which all the force is applied, but above all something unexpected. Generate a campaign and focus on it, many scattered efforts will not generate the desired results.

17_Ley of the unpredictable
Unless you write down your competitors' plans, you won't be able to predict the future.

Bearing in mind that the unforeseen always happens, the best way to face the unpredictability of the future is to use trends, but always with caution. The trick is to guide decisions towards the future, but never being predisposed to those results. If no one can predict the future, why would marketing plans do so?

18_Ley of Success
Success often leads to arrogance, and arrogance to failure.

As in the myth of Icarus who believed reaching the sun, many brands at the peak of their success, begin to trust in being unattainable or that they will always be in the preference of their consumers. Nothing could be further from the truth, because it is enough to remember names like Blockbuster, Kodak or GM. Therefore, we must move away from the ego of feeling that we can do everything to really investigate what the market requires, what it needs and above all identify trends.

19_Ley of failure
Failure is part of our life and we must accept it

When we detect any problem in our strategy we must know how to identify it, admit it and correct it so that it does not affect us later. Many companies have clung to wrong strategies and lost far more than they hoped to gain.

20_Ley of the sensationalist note
Many times, reality is contrary to what appears in the media.

"Don't believe everything you hear," is great advice in marketing. On many occasions, sensationalist advertising is generated, when in reality brands have problems. The trends and the real signs of the future are in the small and insignificant stories and campaigns.

21_Ley of acceleration
Successful campaigns are not built on whims, but on trends

How many of us still keep (or need) products like fidget spinners? And it is easy to sell products that become fashionable and generate profits in the short term, but do not allow something stable to develop in companies. This is the nature of whims, at first the products cause a stir, but after a while they flood the market in such a way that later nobody wants them.

22_Ley of resources
Without adequate funds, an idea will not take off the ground

The engine of marketing is money, nothing simpler than that. It takes money to get into the consumer's mind and money to stay in it.

Undoubtedly, Marketing is vital for any company looking to grow and position itself in its target market. Knowing its principles and laws gives us the possibility of making better decisions for our businesses. In this way, we will obtain the results we are looking for and we will also be able to offer our clients better campaigns with quality content, which really make them sympathize with our brand.

Hi how about guys!

During the past few days, I have sought to learn as much as I can about Marketing, because as Sergio Fernandez comments in his conference for Master of Entrepreneurs, we usually spend up to 40% of our time as entrepreneurs, trying to sell products or services that fail to be sold, either when developing a website that does not generate results or brochures that do not impact people, and even, making calls to potential customers, without making a sale.

"''The

Of just over 4 million companies in Mexico during 2014, 97.6% are microenterprises and concentrate 75.4% of the total employed personnel. Many of them will unfortunately close before completing their 5th year of operations, affecting the economy and losing valuable job opportunities. And all this caused, by the ignorance of one of the essential tools when carrying out an enterprise, such as Marketing.

Therefore, in this first part (which we have divided into 2 so as not to make the entry so heavy to read), we will talk about 11 of The 22 immutable laws of Marketing proposed by Al Ries and Jack Trout in the book of the same name, with which, many of the big brands have achieved their commercial success. If you are one of those people who do not know how to sell, this entry is for you, because learning to apply these laws will make a difference in your business.

1_Ley of leadership
It is better to be the first, than to be the best

Many marketing campaigns fail to convince the audience that theirs is the best product. Therefore, better look for new market niches and launch an original product, in this way it will take a special place in the mind of the consumer and this place will be difficult to displace.

2_Ley of category
If you can't be first in a category, then generate one where you can be

This law, along with the previous one, proposes to appropriate a category with which people identify us.

3_Ley of the mind
It's better to be first in the consumer's mind than first at the point of sale

How many times have you noticed that you unintentionally hum a melody from some commercial? And it is that just the jingles (along with other tools) seek to anchor themselves in the minds of consumers, because the fact of invading the market with our product, does not guarantee that it will already be positioned in the minds of consumers.

4_Ley of perception
Marketing is not a battle of products, it is a battle of perceptions

Apple and Nike understand this law perfectly. They know that to the extent that we focus our efforts on changing the perceptions of potential customers towards a specific product, then we will have the success we expect. However, it is difficult to change people's perceptions, because most of the time, consumers take as absolute truths, ideas that many people know. You know, because "everybody knows."

5_Ley of concentration
The most powerful concept in marketing is to appropriate a word in the minds of consumers.

Making your audience identify your product with a single word will achieve an incredible effect. In other words, if we do not define a single market proposal or appropriate key words , in the end we will not be and will not mean anything to anyone.

6_Ley of Exclusivity
Two companies cannot have the same word in the minds of customers

Hence the importance of clearly defining the product or service we offer, because once appropriated a word and a category in the mind of the consumer, it will be difficult to change it for another. Therefore, it is convenient to focus on a very specific type of market to ensure that our marketing strategy generates the results we expect.

7_Ley of the Staircase
The strategy to be used will depend on the place it occupies in the "ladder"

When designing a marketing strategy, it is necessary to identify the place that is being occupied in the "ladder" of our segment as well as how it works. In this way, we will be able to benefit from the achievements (and mistakes) of whoever the leader is.

8_Ley of Duality
In the long run, each market becomes a two-way race.

When a new category appears on the market, many competitors usually appear. However, with the passage of time, this category is dominated by the strongest brands. Therefore, it is important to achieve a good position on this "ladder", at the risk of not appearing in it (Merger Law).

9_Ley of the opposite
If being the leader is not possible, your strategy will be determined by this

In the world there will be people who consume the products of the leader and those who do not, in the latter will be our potential market. For example, Coca Cola, established its marketing strategy to a type of people; while its competitor, Pepsi, to another guy. It is for this reason that our strategy will always be determined to be the alternative to the leader.

10_Ley of the division
Over time, a category will split to become two or more categories.

As time goes on, each category specializes in specific products. Therefore, in each subcategory there will be a leader and following the trend, we must seize this position or at least, respectingthe L ey of duality, we must recognize the place we occupy in the "ladder" to define our strategy.

11_Ley of Perspective
The effects of marketing are long-term

Hopefully, any marketing campaign will have effects in the short term. However, the real and most lasting effects will be in the long term. It is therefore important not to lose sight of the other laws of marketing, because depending on our forecast, they will give us favorable or contrary results to what we expected, but always in the long term.

This is just a small glimpse of what marketing means, however, knowing and learning to apply these laws will give very good results in our ventures. Stay tuned for the next blog post Exiles from Jupiter where we will see the remaining 11 laws of Marketing.

Did you know these laws? Do you agree with them?
