Modeling, rendering and 3D animation, of creature in Zbrush
Personal project.

At Galahad Studio we deeply believe in the importance of staying updated and constantly learning, with the intention of further diversifying the range of services and products we can offer our customers. Hence the challenge of making a 3D modeling of creature based on giant monsters.

With this in mind, the development of the bust was done in ZBrush, which stands out for its ability to generate three-dimensional organic figures. Therefore, the design of a kaijū-type monster was chosen, inspired by that of the old Japanese films such as Godzilla by Tōhō, but with a unique proposal.

The proposal for Zibrushan , the 3D modeling of the creature I developed, is inspired by the cartoons of the 90’s such as The Ninja Turtles or Street Sharks, where grotesque gestures and zoomorphism were very common. In addition to this, the graphic style of the render has a cel shading finish to give it a caricatured finish, while the colors are vibrant and inspired by sea creatures.

My participation in the project was to design the character, perform the modeling in ZBrush and final render , as well as a turn around of the bust of the creature in KeyShot, according to the specifications of the exercise.

Modeling, rendering and 3D animation, creature in Zbrush and Keyshot
Personal project.

At Galahad Studio we deeply believe in the importance of staying updated and constantly learning, with the intention of further diversifying the range of services and products we can offer our customers. Hence the challenge of making a 3D modeling of monster-type character.

With this in mind, the development of the character was carried out in ZBrush, which stands out for its ability to generate three-dimensional organic figures and the design of a cartoon monster was chosen, inspired by the Muppets or Where the Monsters Live, but with a unique proposal.

The proposal for the 3D modeling of character that I developed, is inspired by the caricatures of folklore such as the Scandinavian trolls, which are often represented as small monsters with horns, mouths and prominent hands. In addition to this, the graphic style of the render has a semi-realistic finish with an appearance of rock with moss, to accentuate its magical origin.

My participation in the project was to design the character, perform the modeling in ZBrush and final render , as well as a turn around of the character in KeyShot, according to the specifications of the exercise.

Promotional Video of the Video Game "Crossing the Traffic" for Children's Day

Year after year, Children's Day is celebrated on April 30 in Mexico and although it is celebrated mainly in schools or squares, some companies carry out activities for their employees. However, the current pandemic by the SARS-CoV-19 virus, modified the coexistence between people digitally.

Such is the case of Concretos Cruz Azul, which for the third consecutive year, planned to generate a special gift for its workers and thus remind them of the inner child that we all carry inside, with the obstacle to overcome, of being able to share it digitally.

The project consisted in this way, in the development of a video game accessible through any web browser, inspired by the construction industry in which Concretos Cruz Azul is a national reference.

Features shown in the promotional video of the game, through screenshots of the levels, intro and graphics of the same.

In Galahad Studio we had the honor of developing the project, from the video game proposal and its branding and the coding of it, as well as the video presentation of the project and the graphics that make it up, which was shared through the communication channels that Concretos Cruz Azul has with its employees.

Comprehensive Video Game Development Project for Children’s Day

Year after year, Children’s Day is celebrated on April 30 in Mexico and although it is celebrated mainly in schools or squares, some companies carry out activities for their employees. However, the current pandemic by the SARS-CoV-19 virus, modified the coexistence between people digitally.

Crossing the Traffic!

The project consisted in this way, in the development of a video game accessible through any web browser, inspired by the construction industry in which Concretos Cruz Azul is a national reference.

Thus, in Galahad Studio we had the honor of developing the project, from the video game proposal and its branding, as well as the adaptation of the HTML5 template, the generation of visual assets and the coding of it. Finally, other audiovisual materials (presentation animation) were also generated, along with graphics to promote and share the URL of the game.

This video game development is accessible from any web browser, adapts to the device from which it is accessed and has the ability to keep track of the levels and points of each player, in the browser itself.

Gayming Geekly
Visual Identity Design and Branding
Visual pack design for Vlog

Gayming Geekly is a bastion of expression of the gay community, in the wide world of video games and vlogs.

Formed by Emmanuel Aguilar, self-described as gaymer, dancer, theatrist and troll (not in that order), it has been positioning itself within the gay and gamer communities, creating quality content around these themes.

In this way, the channel makes criticisms of new releases or streamings of classic and modern video games, influencing with this, in favor of breaking down the existing stigmas towards both groups.

Thus, in Galahad Studio we had the pleasure of collaborating with such a modern and different project, by developing a visual pack for Vlog that includes from banners and profile images, to covers and images for the different sections of the channel.

All this always using a glitch and technological appearance, as well as different colors for each section, according to the psychology of color and the gay pride flag, present in the Gayming Geekly logo.

Without a doubt, a great way to break barriers, while bringing a community together.

Concretos Cruz Azul – Internal Communication

Children’s Day Paper Presentation Video

Year after year, Children’s Day is celebrated on April 30 in Mexico and although it is celebrated mainly in schools or squares, some companies hold convivios for their employees.

Such is the case of Concretos Cruz Azul, which for the second consecutive year, planned to generate a special gift for its workers and thus remind them of the inner child, which we all carry inside.

The project consisted of the design of a paper handle, with moving parts and an ingenious system that provide movement to the hydraulic shovel.

Features shown in the presentation video, through photographic shots of the models.

In Galahad Studio we had the honor of developing the project in an integral way, from the design of the paper transo, as well as the video presentation of the project and the photographs that make it up, which was shown during an internal conference at the facilities of Concretos Cruz Azul.

After the great success of stickers for WhatsApp as a reward on Patreon, during March and April 2019, we continued to develop them, this time using some pop elements and experimenting with other styles that the medium allows us.

ICID Congress
Event organized by CONAGUA at the WTC of the CDMX
Development of illustrations

The Dessignare team invited me to participate as an illustrator in the development of an audiovisual content for the National Water Commission (CONAGUA). The project involved a large-scale projection using a central LED screen and 2 side panels with 2 projectors each, to play the 6 min. long video. In addition, the time to generate the material was very limited, so there were only 2 full days to generate it and thus complete the project. My participation was the illustrator, and they developed from a series of images and visual elements ranging from landscapes, to graphics that pretended to be ancient glyphs. The production and management of the project was by the Dessignare team.

Illustration Development and Art Direction

Together with the Blue Labs team, a two-minute animated spot was developed to promote Entropia’s services.

Entropia, is a young company that tries to generate a community of responsible companies committed to the world and the philosophy of Impeccability (seek to be better at every moment). Concepts little known in Mexico or that have another name, however, the challenge of our proposal was just to brand these ideas to make them typical of Entropia.

Therefore, in the script it was proposed to generate a dynamic storytelling , presenting visual metaphors of the concepts and ideas that Entropia sought to communicate to its audience. D e so that all the concepts were united, in such a way that the community of Entropia does. Therefore, the transitions of each scene give rise to the beginning of the next shot, generating with this a very dynamic animation, which managed to condense complicated concepts in a short time. However, it should be noted that the project was postponed due to situations unrelated to production. The version presented here corresponds to the latest version reviewed by the client.

My participation was to generate the original script according to the client’s brief, as well as its storyboard. In addition, all the illustrations of the animation were developed and the development of the project was supervised as Art Director. The production and management of the project was by the Blue Labs team.
